AXIS Re, the reinsurance underwriting arm of the global AXIS Capital Holdings re/insurance group, has added two new hires in Bermuda, coming from Hiscox and Guy Carpenter.
AXIS Re has announced today the hires of two underwriters in Sue Ringold and Bill Orendorf.
Effective immediately, Ringold joins AXIS Re as a Senior Underwriter based in Bermuda and Orendorf joins as an Underwriter, also based on the island.
They will both sit in AXIS Re’s underwriting team for North America Property business.
“Sue and Bill both bring valuable industry experience and perspective to our North American Property team,” commented Roman Romeo, Head of Property North America – Bermuda. “We are delighted to welcome them to AXIS Re and look forward to the contributions they will make as we continue to drive forward our North America Property reinsurance business.”
Ringold was most recently employed by Hiscox Re, where she spent more than 10 years. He most recent position was as Senior Underwriter for Property Treaty, focused on the North America & Caribbean regions.
Orendorf joins from brokerage Guy Carpenter, where he most recently held the position of Senior Vice President. Before that, Orendorf held various reinsurance underwriting roles at Chubb Tempest Reinsurance and Transatlantic Re.
