AXIS Re, the reinsurance arm of Bermuda-based AXIS Capital Holdings, has announced the appointment of Matthew Krizmanic as Casualty Treaty Underwriter.
In this role, Krizmanic will manage a portfolio of casualty treaty business, including workers compensation and general and excess liability, among several other lines of business.
He will also be involved in strategic portfolio management to continue elevating our specialty, casualty treaty reinsurance offering in North America, the company said.
Krizmanic will be based in Chicago and will report to Daniel Osterrieder, Head of Casualty North America at AXIS Re.
He joins from Argo Group where he served as VP Ceded Reinsurance, Head of Americas.
Prior to Argo Group, he served various underwriting roles at IAT Insurance Group, Sompo Canopius, Travelers Insurance and Zurich Insurance.
