The London subsidiary of AEGIS has appointed Barry Plummer as an underwriter within its Differentiated Underwriting Team.
Plummer’s industry experience spans over three decades, and includes a 17-year stint at Aspen Insurance Group, where he held the role of Senior Underwriter Specialty Re for over seven years, and Senior Underwriter, International Property Facultative for 10 years.
Prior to joining Apsen, he worked at XL Group for just over two years, serving as a Property Facultative Underwriter.
Additionally, Plummer also had a three year tenure at global re/insurer AIG, where he held the role of Property Underwriter, Global Accounts.
Plummer began his career in the industry in 1993, working as a Property Underwriter for RSA, where he was based in Croydon.
Last year, AEGIS London and Arch Capital Group Ltd., ruled out providing any coverage to the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project.
