Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has appointed Mary Bruce-Kahn to the role of Chief Executive in Singapore.
Bruce-Kahn joined BHSI in January as Regional Head of Operations & IT. According to the announcement she will retain this position in addition to her new role.
She has over 20 years of experience in operational leadership in the insurance industry and previously held senior local and regional positions in Thailand, Singapore and Australia.
Prior to joining BHSI, Bruce-Kahn spent over two years at Liberty Specialty Markets (Asia Pacific), where she was Director of Operations (Asia Pacific) before becoming Director – Regional Projects (Asia).
She has also held several positions at WTW, where she served for almost three years, and AIG where she spent almost seven years.

Earlier in the month, BHSI appointed Anselm Waigand as Head of Risk Engineering in Germany. The firm also appointed several Claims Executives to new roles within its North American region, these include Rob Romeo as Head of Claims in the US, Amanda Sorsak as Head of First Party Claims in Canada and Paul Emerson as Head of Third Party Claims, Canada.
