Transatlantic Holdings (TransRe), the reinsurance arm of the Alleghany Corporation, has announced the promotion of Abdeladim Bousselam to CUO of TransRe Europe, reporting to Louise Rose, President, International Division with immediate effect.
Bousselam brings a wealth of , leadership, and underwriting expertise to his new position, having initially joined TransRe from Swiss Re as Head of MEA in January 2025.
Since joining the company, the executive has made an immediate impact on TransRe Middle East portfolio, building and further cementing local client and broker relationships, increasing its regional profile and generating new and accretive business opportunities.
During his 12 years at Swiss Re, Bousselam held a number of positions increasing in responsibility. He joined the company as an Associate Business Analysts, and was later appointed Assistant Vice President – Project Manager.
In 2015 the executive was promoted to Vice President – Senior Underwriter Credit & Surety Reinsurance, and was promoted to Senior Regional Manager Saudi Arabia & Solutions Lead Middle East five years later.
