Chubb has appointed Stanley Wong to succeed Doug White as Country President for Hong Kong, Taiwan & Macau, and Douglas Wong to succeed Patrick Wong as Head of Property & Casualty for Hong Kong, effective 1 October 2018.
Doug White was recently appointed as Head of Chubb’s newly established Major Accounts Division in Asia Pacific, while Patrick Wong was also appointed to the newly created role of Global Client Executive, North Asia, reporting to Doug White.
In his new role, Stanley Wong will have overall responsibility for the growth and financial results of Chubb’s operations in Hong Kong, Taiwan & Macau across all lines of business, including Property & Casualty, Accident & Health, and Personal Lines.
He is currently Chubb’s Regional Head of Financial Lines for Asia Pacific and oversees the underwriting, product development, new business opportunities and profitability of the Financial Lines portfolio.
Stanley Wong joined Chubb in 2003, having held positions of increasing responsibility over his tenure, and will now return to his native Hong Kong from his current station in Singapore.
In his new role, he will report to Paul McNamee, Regional President for Chubb in Asia Pacific, who commented: “I’m delighted to have Stanley step up to the role as Country President. He is sharp, energetic and ready to bring his talents, leadership and insurance management skills to his new role.”

Douglas Wong is currently Chubb’s Head of Financial Lines, Greater China, and began his insurance career in 2002 as a Financial Lines Underwriter at AIG in Hong Kong.
He joined Chubb in 2005 as Financial Lines Manager in charge of the China Portfolio and has since progressed through more senior roles. In his new position, Douglas Wong will have oversight for the full range of products and services for Chubb’s Property & Casualty business in Hong Kong.
