Chubb has appointed Matt Booker to Senior Vice President of Major Accounts Property in the U.S. to succeed Brian Church who has moved into a position as Head of International Property for the firm’s Overseas General business.
Booker will assume responsibility for underwriting, strategy, production, product development, management, and profit and loss (P&L) performance for Chubb’s retail commercial large accounts property insurance business.
He will report to Derek Talbott, Division Chairman of Chubb’s North America Property, who welcomed Booker to his new role; “with the recent appointment of Brian as the company’s Head of International Property, Matt’s appointment further underscores the breadth of leadership within our organisation.
“Matt’s experience in underwriting coupled with his strong leadership skills will help ensure the unit continues to provide customised solutions and services to help meet the specific needs of our multinational clients.”
Booker has served with Chubb for seven years, and boasts 15 years insurance experience; prior to this new appointment, he served as a Senior Vice President and New York and Mid-Atlantic Regional Property Underwriting Manager.
Booker has also held a number of positions at Munich Re, including as a Senior Property Underwriter/Team Leader in London, where he led a small team handling property insurance for Fortune 5,000 companies in the UK, Africa, the Middle East, parts of Asia, and Australia; as well as a Property Underwriter in Germany, focusing on North American property business.
