Insurance and reinsurance broking group Gallagher has appointed Clare Francis as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Arthur J. Gallagher Holdings (UK) Limited.
Additionally, as part of her role, she will become the Chair of the Remuneration Committee and a member of the Nominations, Audit and Risk Committees.
Francis has extensive financial sector experience, most recently serving in an executive role as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Standard Chartered in the UK, Regional Head of Europe and Global Head of Investors/Insurance.
Prior to this, she worked at Lloyds Bank for over a decade in roles including Head of Corporate and Institutional Banking, Global Head of International, and Global Head for Corporates.
She spent 17 years at HSBC, holding senior roles in IT transformation, markets and risk, and currently serves in several non-executive roles including Bank of America (MLI), Baille Gifford, and CMC.
