Everest Re names Joe Stuhl SVP of Global Distribution

Everest Reinsurance has appointed Joe Stuhl as Senior Vice President of Global Distribution, where he will report to Anthony Izzo, Global Head of Facultative and Distribution at the firm.

Within this newly created role, Stuhl will lead the reinsurance organisations global distribution strategy.

In addition, he will also be responsible for deepening relationships and engagement with brokers and cedants, and proactively identifying and addressing emerging needs to optimize the customer experience.

All in all, Stuhl brings more than 25 years of experience with him towards his new role. with a proven track record of delivering superior client service and transformational growth strategies at global reinsurance companies.

He most recently served as an Executive Vice President and Broker Executive at Munich Re US, where he oversaw all aspects of broker relationship management.

Before he joined Munich Re, Stuhl was a Senior Vice President and Casualty Team Leader with American Re, where he was responsible for the profitability, management and development of a diverse portfolio.

Furthermore, he also previously served as a Vice President and New York Branch Manager at XL Re, where he managed the company’s largest and most profitable facultative branch, and began his reinsurance career in casualty underwriting with Swiss Re.
