EY’s new partner joins the firm from Royal London, where she spent seven years as Head of Tax. She commented: “I am really excited to join EY as it grows its insurance practice – the team is well respected in the market and I look forward to working with ambitious and talented new colleagues.
“The UK’s tax landscape has changed materially across the series of Budgets that have been announced in quick succession over the last few years, and tax continues to be affected by economic headwinds. I am looking forward to supporting EY’s clients as they navigate change and look to the future.”
Based in London, Mustafa will take on a key role leading EY’s Specialty Insurance Tax Practice, working across the sector’s established organisations and start-ups.

“This is an exciting time to be in the insurance tax market, and I am proud to contribute to EY’s strong brand within the speciality insurance market,” said Mustafa. “The depth of expertise within this team is unparalleled, and I’m proud to be able to contribute to its growth in years to come.”
Rodney Bonnard, UK Insurance Leader at EY, said: “The insurance industry is facing more change than ever before, as is the tax landscape, and the sector needs highly specialised and experienced advisors to help support this evolution.
“In response to market demand EY is growing its insurance business, ensuring we build outstanding teams to provide real industry insight and support transformation. Having the right talent is crucial, and I am thrilled Elizabeth and Aran have joined to bolster our team.”
