Guy Carpenter, a global reinsurance broker and Marsh business, has announced the appointment of James Almaraz and Robert Genovese as Managing Director and Vice President, respectively.
Based in Miami, Almaraz and Genovese bring a strong portfolio and deep expertise in health re/insurance that will enhance Guy Carpenter’s health reinsurance capabilities across Latin America and the Caribbean.
Their addition is expected to complement the company’s analytical and actuarial capabilities, and help support its continued growth in the region.
Both executives join the broker from Worldwide Insurance Associates (WIA) – an international risk management and insurance agency specialising in the Latin American marketplace -, with Almaraz having spent 33 years working for the insurance brokerage
Almaraz and Genovese are some of Guy Carpenter’s most recent appointments, following Dennis Sugrue’s as Head of International Business Intelligence.
In this role, Sugrue has been tasked with the development of the industry risk insights that drive the broker’s thought leadership and client solutions.
He will also be working closely with the company’s Broking, Analytics, and Advisory teams to deliver differentiated perspectives to clients.
