Heath Fisher to step down as President of Palomar

28th September 2021 - Author: Matt Sheehan

Specialty property insurer Palomar Holdings has announced that its President, Heath Fisher, has decided to resign from his position at the company, effective April 1, 2022.

Fisher has served as President of Palomar since October 2013, before which he spent four years in senior roles at Guy Carpenter.

His professional career spans 24 years, with previous roles including nine years as Senior Vice President at Collins and three years as a Senior Account Representative at E.W. Blanch Company.

He has been based in California throughout this time, working across the San Francisco and Mission Viejo areas, and mostly recently in the La Jolla office of Palomar.

According to Palomar, Fisher’s decision to step down as President is for personal, rather than professional reasons, as he intends to spend additional time with his family.

Fisher plans to work closely with the Palomar executive team to ensure a successful transition of his responsibilities, while the company works to find a successor for his position.

It has also been confirmed that Fisher will continue to work closely with Palomar’s Chief Underwriting Officer, Jon Christianson and its Chief Risk Officer, Jon Knutzen, on the company’s 2022 reinsurance renewals.
