Bermuda-based insurance and reinsurance firm, AXIS Capital Holdings Limited has added insurance industry veteran Lizabeth Zlatkus to its Board of Directors, effective March 15th 2019.
In her new role, Zlatkus will serve as a member of AXIS’ Audit and Finance Committees. The addition of Zlatkus takes the total number of AXIS board members to 12, 10 of whom are Independent Directors.
Zlatkus commented on her new role: “I am pleased to join AXIS Capital’s Board of Directors at this exciting time of change and innovation within the organization and in the global (re)insurance industry. The transformation already underway at AXIS is impressive, and I look forward to working with the Board to help the Company capitalize on the tremendous opportunity ahead.”
An insurance industry expert, Zlatkus spent 28 years with The Hartford Financial Services Group, joining the firm in 1983. While at The Hartford, she held numerous senior management positions, including Executive Vice President (EVP) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and EVP and Chief Risk Officer (CRO).
Zlatkus currently sits on the boards of both Boston Private Financial Holdings, Inc. and Indivior Plc.
