The London & International Insurance Brokers Association (LIIBA) has appointed three new deputy chairs.

LIIBA logoThe company has announced that Ed Broking’s Heather Clarkson, Aon’s James Baum, and Marsh Specialty UK’s Dominic Samengo-Turner, have all been named as deputy chairs of LIIBA.

They join BMS’s Nick Cook, who was also elected deputy chair in 2019.

In addition, with her appointment, Clarkson also becomes the first woman to hold the deputy chair role at LIIBA.

“Heather, James and Dominic are three exceptionally talented and well-respected representatives of both global and wholesale brokers”, said Alastair Swift, LIIBA’s Chair.

“They share a desire to promote the aims of our sector and to advocate for positive change. I’m delighted they’ve accepted these roles. Both individually and collectively, they are a tremendous asset to London’s broking community.”

Furthermore, LIIBA’s deputy chairs form the trade body’s Executive Committee – the primary source of counsel for both its Chair and Chief Executive.

Meanwhile, a recent analysis from LIIBA suggested that London’s insurance market could potentially double in size thanks to the various opportunities presented by the global transition to net-zero emissions.
