European property and casualty specialist Marco Capital has named Zsolt Szalkai managing director, head of mergers and acquisitions.
Szalkai joins from Premia, where he most recently served as president of its European operations.
He will also become a member of Marco’s executive management team.
Prior to Premia, Szalkai spent eight years at DARAG working as Chief Liability Officer, a member of the executive committee and ultimately Chief Executive Officer of DARAG Germany.
Before joining DARAG, he worked for five years in KPMG’s insurance solutions team in Germany where he specialised in advising on German and international M&A and restructuring projects.
“Zsolt is recognised as a pioneer in the modern European P&C run-off industry. His experience, capabilities, professionalism and network will be a substantial asset to Marco,” said Simon Minshall, CEO of Marco.
