MS Amlin AG, the reinsurance unit of MS Amlin group, has appointed Louis De Segonzac as Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) and Maria Amelio as a Lead Casualty Underwriter within its US business, operating out of New Jersey and Miami.
Amelio will report to De Segonzac whilst De Segonzac will report to Charles Goldie, CUO of MS Amlin AG.
With over 30 years of market experience, De Segonzac first joined MS Amlin in October 2014 with responsibility for establishing its Miami office and managing the business’s Latin American treaty portfolio.
His appointment as CUO marks a new combined role for the business in the Americas operating out of offices in New Jersey and Miami.
Amelio joins from WKFC Underwriting Managers / CorRisk Solutions, where she was the Executive Vice President and CUO, Speciality Casualty for the past four years.
In this new position she will be responsible for building on MS Amlin AG’s portfolio of casualty business.
Both appointments took on their new roles earlier this month.
