Risk Solved has appointed Richard Thomas to be its new chief strategy and partnerships officer.
The firm said that the appointment was to bolster its continued strategic growth.
Prior to his new role, Thomas was European risk control leader at Sompo International Global Risk Solutions after spending 10 years at QBE as the head of risk solutions, and 8 years as the director of commercial at Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance.
Thomas said in a statement: “My experience working with some of the biggest companies in the insurance risk management sector has given me deep insight into how insurers assess, understand, and price risk. In Risk Solved, I see a fantastic opportunity to utilise a SaaS solution that provides data analytics and insights to make the risk management process more efficient and deliver a positive impact on customer profitability.”
He added: “I’m excited to explore new partnerships with cutting-edge technology partners, to position Risk Solved as a leading risk management partner to the insurance industry.”
Thomas’s LinkedIn profile indicates that he has worked for Risk Solved since 2014, when he joined in a part-time role as non-executive director before moving to his new position in March.
According to its website, Risk Solved is a global risk management solutions company that helps insurers work with data to improve loss ratio and loss control, increase underwriting profitability, and boost customer retention. It first launched into the market in 2016.
