Satispay, an Italian fintech platform, has announced the inclusion of dedicated business insurance coverage within its Business Premium subscription service through a partnership with REVO Insurance, aimed at protecting SMEs and helping them comply with new regulatory requirements.

REVO Insurance logoThe Satispay Business Premium subscription service is an ecosystem designed to grow merchants’ businesses, with the insurance policy now a distinctive feature of the Pro and Advanced plans.

Satispay has taken out a collective catastrophe insurance policy with REVO Insurance covering events such as earthquakes, floods, landslides, and inundations for its network of participating merchants.

This move aims to make it easier for small and medium-sized businesses to comply with the new requirement introduced by the 2024 Budget Law, offering a simple and immediate solution.

Designed by REVO Insurance, the coverage applies to businesses with a single operating location and annual revenues of less than €5 million. It is included at no additional cost in the Business Premium subscription offer, available in the Pro and Advanced plans, and takes effect upon activation.

The policy includes parametric guarantees that, upon the occurrence of predefined objective parameters, allow for the automatic disbursement of €5,000 in financial compensation, offering businesses timely assistance with immediate expenses.

In terms of customer acquisition, the offer guarantees targeted visibility through priority placement in the app with sponsored banners and monthly campaigns, reaching up to 1,000 new potential customers in the local area. These initiatives are complemented by loyalty incentives, such as the option to activate multipliers (up to 30x) on standard Satispay Points collection.

The effectiveness of the Premium ecosystem is already reflected in pre-launch results: for the 1,000 merchants already registered, the tools have generated an increase in corporate business of up to 8% in average receipt value and an increase in transaction volumes of up to 6%. The offering is rounded out by dedicated customer support and the Tips service—currently in testing—which allows for the digitisation of tips to enhance employee loyalty and eliminate friction at the register.

Alberto Dalmasso, co-founder and CEO of Satispay, commented, “With mandatory insurance looming, we knew small businesses would face unexpected costs and complex bureaucracy. That’s why we decided to take out a collective catastrophe insurance policy with REVO, including it at no additional cost in our Business Premium Plus and Advanced subscription plans. Being able to offer such a service is the result of the trust of a network that now exceeds 450,000 businesses. This scale allows us to build strategic alliances and deliver tangible value to the business community. For us, being a partner to businesses means precisely this. We’ve made this a reality by launching our Business Premium plans, which combine the protection for SMEs’ businesses, guaranteed by the policy, with operational and measurable tools to grow sales.”

Alberto Minali, CEO of REVO, added, “The collaboration with Satispay, one of Italy’s leading fintech platforms, stems from a shared vision: to integrate insurance coverage into a digital ecosystem already used daily by hundreds of thousands of merchants, facilitating access to protection and expanding its widespread use. With this collaboration, which currently covers catastrophe coverage and may be extended to other products, we aim to make insurance protection more accessible, more practical, and more immediate for businesses.”
