SiriusPoint has appointed Brian Norton to be its new head of pricing and analytics for the Americas.
In his new role, Norton will lead SiriusPoint’s team working on pricing for its America Property business and Bermuda CAT XL. It will also include portfolio analytics in addition to transaction pricing.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Norton has been with SiriusPoint for the last eighteen months, having joined as AVP – catastrophe risk manager and actuary in February 2021.
Before that, he held roles at Third Point Reinsurance and Everest Reinsurance.
In his most-recent role as AVP – catastrophe risk manager and actuary at SiriusPoint, Norton helped build Third Point Re’s Property Catastrophe Reinsurance Portfolio from scratch starting with contracts incepting in January 2019. He was also responsible for all modelling, pricing, accumulation, and reporting, as well as being part of the underwriting/decision-making team. Under his tenure, he also helped to grow book to ~$70M in premium and helped produce Third Point Re’s first profitable underwriting quarters.
