Swiss Re Corporate Solutions (Swiss Re CorSo), the commercial insurance arm of reinsurer Swiss Re, has named Laura Coppola as Head of Casualty & FinPro North America, effective January 27th, 2020.
Based in New York, Coppola takes over responsibility for the company’s Financial and Professional Liability (FinPro) operation in the U.S. and Canada.
This includes oversight of Accountants & Consultants, Agents & Lawyers, Construction Professional Indemnity, Cyber & Technology, Executive Risks, and Transaction Liability.
She will also be tasked with repositioning Swiss Re CorSo in the U.S. casualty sector to focus on Crisis Management and Construction General Liability and providing Excess capacity for the International programs of clients outside of the U.S.

Coppola brings 25 years of insurance industry experience to the role and has held a number of leadership roles of increasing responsibility within the space. Most Recently, she served as Head of Financial Lines North America at a large commercial insurance firm.
