Global reinsurance firm Swiss Re has hired a recognised industry equity analyst from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, appointing Olivia Brindle to the firms P&C Analytics Solutions team.
Brindle joined Swiss Re this month and will be based in Zurich, taking on the role of Senior P&C Analytics Solutions Manager within Swiss Re’s P&C Analytics Solutions team.
Brindle has excellent knowledge of the workings of insurers and reinsurers, having spent a number of years analysing their results and reporting on the market for equity investor clients of the banks she worked for.
Most recently Brindle was an Insurance Analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch for three years, prior to which she worked as an Insurance Analyst at Deutsche Bank for two years, and as an Insurance Analyst at Barclays Capital for three years before that. Prior to this Brindle spent just over one year working at Deloitte as a strategy analyst, focused on providing due diligence to private equity clients.
Given her background, in analysing the insurance and reinsurance marketplace and its participants, Brindle will be a valuable addition to the team at Swiss Re who deal with analytics for the P&C segment.
This team has a mandate to improve Swiss Re client’s portfolio profitability, designing go-to market strategies and helping them to grow into new markets using Data Analytics solutions.
The team provides statistical analysis, text mining and uses machine learning to develop industry insights and risk expertise that produces actionable insights for the reinsurers clients, helping them to steer their portfolios and grow their business.
