Specialist international insurer Tokio Marine Kiln has appointed David Slevin to lead its Aviation department starting next spring, as sights are set on expanding the firm’s presence in the sector.
The newly created role will see Slevin push for profitable growth and development of TMK’s Aviation portfolio.
He brings more than 36 years’ experience in building, leading and developing profitable underwriting portfolios to the role.
He joins from Chubb, where he was most recently Product Head for Aviation.
Previous roles include Divisional Director of Transport, Energy and Recall at Hiscox and Managing Director at Faraday Syndicate.
“We are delighted to bring David on board to lead our Aviation strategy as we continue to grow and diversify our portfolio,” said Matthew Shaw, TMK’s Chief Underwriting Officer.
“TMK has earned its reputation for innovation and excellence in this important sector and our ambitions are to take this further under David’s leadership. David will benefit from the expertise of our strong and experienced team and we are excited for his arrival next year.”
