Specialist international insurer, Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK), has announced a number of high-profile appointments in the aviation team.
According to the announcement, these appointments are part of a renewed drive in the sector under the direction of CUO Matthew Shaw and David Slevin, the departmental head who joined last year.
Lisa Leahy joins TMK as a senior member of the team focussing primarily on airlines. Prior to TMK she was head of aviation at Faraday Underwriting.
Matthew Farrar joined as GA underwriter, moving from Lockton where he was aviation manager, with nearly 30 years’ experience in the market. Leahy and Farrar are complemented by Lizanne Kooi, previously an aviation broker.
Commenting on the appointments, Slevin said: “With the challenges facing the aviation market, now more than ever it is crucial that we invest in such impressive talent. Their extensive experience makes them a valuable addition as we continue to build out our aviation division here at TMK. I very much look forward to welcoming them to the team.”
The recent addition to the aviation team follows the arrival of Graham Oddie, who joined recently from TMK’s office in Singapore, and now heads up the General Aviation (GA) team, among other responsibilities.
