Vantage has appointed Gabriel Poppie as its new vice president for marketing and distribution in the central region executive.
The Chicago-based Poppie is coming over from Sompo International where he served as vice president of business development, US insurance. Prior to joining Sompo, he spent over five years at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions where he most recently served as head of sales, US central region. Earlier in his career, Gabriel worked as a client executive and broker at Marsh.
Dane Lopes, CCO for insurance at Vantage, said: “Gabe is a well-known and highly respected figure in the Insurance market with outstanding client and broker relationships. He will provide a strong voice of advocacy for Vantage to the broader broker and client community in the US Central region.”
He added: “Gabe’s extensive experience in client management, coupled with his deep industry relationships, will prove invaluable to Vantage as we continue to build out our insurance distribution team.”
