Multi-class international managing general agent (MGA) platform Volante Global Limited has announced the launch of London Market based MGA Gentium Motor, with Neil Smith named as its Managing Director.
Gentium Motor is focused on niche motor-related schemes and affinity groups within the international motor sector, including high-value and classic motor schemes and vehicle owners’ clubs, as well as large, complex ‘one-off’ risks.
The business said it writes on both a conventional and non-conventional basis, using it’s A+ rated capacity and network of specialist brokers and coverholders to develop tailored insurance solutions for its clients.
Operating on Volante’s proprietary underwriting platform, Gentium Motor also capitalises on technology and deal-structuring innovation to maximise its underwriting performance and efficiency.
Neil Smith has over 25 years’ experience in both the UK and international motor insurance markets and previously served as Portfolio Manager, International Motor at QBE.
Prior to this, he worked as a Senior Underwriter at Ensign Motor Policies and also at Torch Motor Policies, having more recently held a senior position within the broking sector.
