Global advisory, broking and solutions company, WTW, has announced the appointment of Michael Machin as Head of Broking for FINEX North America, Corporate Risk & Broking (CRB).
Machin will also join the FINEX NA leadership team and partner with the FINEX segment leaders to advance strategic priorities for the business.
In his new role, the firm states he will lead the FINEX NA broking team, where he will implement a cohesive strategy across all financial lines of business, which includes coordinating efforts across Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and the Carrier Management businesses within CRB.
Machin holds experience in both broking and underwriting, having led teams of management liability brokers within the FINEX practice. Before WTW, he served in senior-level positions at Chubb and Travelers in both underwriting and product development.
He will be based in Massachusetts and will operate with a dual reporting line to Jon Drummond, Head of Broking CRB NA, and Ken Ross, Head of FINEX NA.
Ross commented on the appointment, stating, “The addition of Michael to the FINEX NA team will enhance the deep industry knowledge FINEX NA is known for, bringing expertise in management liability, cyber insurance, and professional services, collaborating to deliver customised, industry-driven solutions to our clients.”
