Enstar has appointed Orla Gregory as president following the retirement of Paul O’Shea, which came into effect on March 1, 2023.
The company announced his planned retirement in the summer of 2022, and has since provided a smooth transition of leadership of the company’s M&A activities to chief strategy officer, David Ni.
O’Shea, who served at the company for nearly three decades, will remain on Enstar’s Board of Directors as a non-employee director.
Moreover, the company’s new president, Gregory, brings a deep level of expertise towards her new role having been with the firm for 20 years.
Since August 2021 she has served as the company’s chief financial officer, and prior to that she held the role of chief operating officer. Additionally, she was appointed to the Board of Directors in February 2022.
At the same time, Enstar also announced several other promotions that have taken place within the company.
Paul Brockman has been promoted to COO and will also continue to serve in his role as chief claims officer, which he has held since September 2020.
Previously he served as chief executive officer at Enstar US from 2016, and as Enstar US president and COO from 2014.
Elsewhere, Matthew Kirk has been named CFO. Kirk joined Enstar in April 2020 as Group Treasurer, and has been responsible for treasury, capital management, and investor relations.
Prior to Enstar, he served in executive roles at Sirius International Insurance Group, including Group Treasurer and president & managing director of Sirius Investment Advisors.
