30th March 2022 - Author: Pete Carvill

Global reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter has appointed Julian Enoizi as global head of public sector.

The firm said that the position would become effective on 11 April.

Enoizi will be responsible for driving the company’s growth strategy. He will work with the global team to identify opportunities to address systemic risks, such as cyber and climate change, and develop solutions that facilitate a closer working relationship between public and private entities.

Working with Marsh McLennan’s other businesses, including Marsh, Oliver Wyman, and Mercer, he will continue building on the company’s position in the sector. Enoizi will be based in London and report to David Priebe, chairman of Guy Carpenter.

Dean Klisura, president & CEO of Guy Carpenter, said: “At Guy Carpenter, we remain committed to helping develop and secure public-private partnerships, which is vital to enhancing community resilience. Julian’s understanding of the importance of such partnerships and his extensive market experience make him the ideal person to lead our Global Public Sector practice.”

Enoizi is moving to Guy Carpenter following his resignation as CEO of Pool Re, which recently named Tom Clementi as his successor. Alongside his new position at Guy Carpenter, Enoizi also began a role this year with the Cambridge Centre for Risk Studies. He is also the president and deputy for the Insurance Institute of London for 2021-2022

During this time at Pool Re, Enoizi also played a central role in discussions around how the UK might better manage the risks that sit on the government’s balance sheet. These conversations culminated in the joint development of a landmark initiative Resilience UK, aimed at encouraging industry and government collaboration to tackle systemic risks and protection gaps beyond terrorism.
