P&C re/insurer Sompo International appointed Simona Fumagalli as Country Manager Insurance for Italy.
Based in Milano, she will report to Ralph Brand, President Continental Europe Insurance. The company recently opened an office in Milano.
“Simona is the latest in an on-going series of high-caliber appointments that Sompo International is making as we accelerate our growth plans across Continental Europe,” Brand commented on her appointment.
“Her wealth of experience, market knowledge and commercial mindset will be invaluable as we expand and grow our business in Italy, leading with our core values and putting our clients and broker partners at the center of everything we do,” Brand added.
Fumagalli, who has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, has joined Sompo International from Aon.
In her previous role at Aon, she served as the Head of Financial Lines EMEA. She has also held various leadership and senior underwriting positions at Zurich, Marsh, AXA, and XL Catlin.
