Ryan Specialty Group has appointed Chris Burns to be the new president of Technical Risk Underwriters (TRU).
TRU is Ryan Specialty’s managing general underwriting specialising in construction. Burn’s appointment began last month after eleven years with the company.
Katie Davies, CEO of TRU, said: “Having had the pleasure of working with Chris for over three years, I have observed first-hand Chris’s deep expertise and knowledge of Construction risks. Chris has been TRU’s CUO and will maintain his underwriting responsibilities going forward. I’m looking forward to working with Chris in his expanded role as president of TRU.”
Prior to his promotion, Burns was the company’s CUO between December 2018 and last month, and its vice president between November 2010 and November 2018.
