At the same time, he will also chair the Analytics Leadership Committee, which is responsible for the Analytics’ global strategy, coordination of resources and investments for Reinsurance Solutions.
Addressing Shedden’s appointment, Marcell said: “Having worked at some of the leading re/insurers in our marketplace, Paul understands the importance our industry places on data, analytics and actuarial services. In joining Aon, we know he will help to not only drive our capabilities, but further tailor them to the needs of our sector, and in doing so deliver optimum client value to help our clients make better, more-informed decisions.”
Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions Analytics team comprises a wide range of global capabilities, from weather, climate and catastrophic risk assessment to unstructured data management and analysis, offering clients important risk insights.
Its solutions can assist re/insurers in achieving growth, navigating volatility, building resilience and considering their capital allocations, which in turn can play a huge role in helping them to boost underwriting profitability, effectively manage portfolios and optimise risk transfer programmes.
Moore, added: “Our Analytics team is critical to delivering innovation at scale as Aon addresses the evolving needs of clients, such as ESG issues, macro-economic challenges and inflationary risk. Paul will play a pivotal role in enabling Analytics to respond to these evolving and underserved areas where clients require information and insights.”
