Legacy reinsurance and run-off specialist, RiverStone International has appointed David Rocke as group head of M&A.
In addition to this new role, Rocke will also continue to serve as Managing Director at RiverStone Insurance Bermuda Limited, a role he was appointed to in February earlier this year.
As an experienced veteran within the industry, Rocke has more than 25 years of experience in insurance and reinsurance legacy M&A, with a specialist focus on transactions in Bermuda, the UK, and the US.
At the same time, RiverStone also announced that Jamie Saunders, who has been with the company since March, has been appointed to chief underwriting officer, where he will report to Rocke and also be based in Bermuda.
Saunders brings with him nearly 20 years of experience in legacy insurance and reinsurance with a specific focus on transactions in Bermuda, the US and the UK, most recently in his former role as head of M&A operations and integration at Enstar.
Within his new role, Saunders will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Group M&A and integration functions, as well as working with Rocke on business development too.
Addressing his new role, Rocke, said: “I am excited to be taking on this expanded role at RiverStone and to be working with Jamie again. We look forward to building on the foundations David Alexander laid and broadening RiverStone International’s business globally in the coming years.”
Furthermore, RiverStone also announced that David Alexander, former acquisitions and business development director has been appointed to business planning and strategy director.
In his new role Alexander will support RiverStone’s financial development using his considerable expertise in insurance restructuring, run-off management and business transformation.
