Steadfast Re, the reinsurance broking joint-venture operation of the Steadfast Group, has announced the appointment of Ryan Springall as Director Treaty for the Asia Pacific region.
Springall arrives from Risk Frontiers, an Asia Pacific Perils research organisation, where he most recently served as General Manager.
Prior to that, he was a lead broker at Aon Re Tokyo and Australia from 2010 to 2019.
Steadfast Re CEO Simon Cloney commented on the appointment: “With John Palmer, Clayton Kasmar in Sydney and Nick Porritt in London we have an excellent, strong group of practitioners with 30+ years of experience and a fantastic group of emerging stars with 4- 10 years’ experience.”
“We identified an experience gap in our team and felt the business needed some brokers with 10 + years of front line broking expertise,” Cloney added.
“Ryan fills that experience gap. We are really excited he is joining our team. With a focus on new business production both inside Steadfast and across Australia and Asia Pac.”
At the same time, Steadfast Re has promoted Sophie Lancaster to Executive Director. She will also join the leadership group.
Lancaster has been producing business with Steadfast Re for a number of years and is a key member of the placement team.
Additionally, Brittany Markey has been promoted to Director, Treaty, becoming a permanent member of the Australian business following her driven return to Sydney from London.
